This is Noveske's small-frame carrier setup built for AR-15 builders who already have a headspaced bolt waiting on a barrel. It's the Noveske-marked phosphate full-auto carrier with a chrome-lined bolt bore and a chrome-lined, properly staked gas key, and it comes packaged with the cam pin, firing pin, and firing pin retaining pin so you can finish the job without hunting down small parts. Worth noting up front: this kit does not include a complete bolt assembly or extractor, so it's meant to pair with a barrel that ships with its own headspaced bolt.
The full-auto profile carrier adds a touch more mass than a semi-auto cut, which tends to smooth out the cycle and keep things running when conditions get dirty. The chrome lining inside the carrier bore and gas key is the real story here. It fights wear from heat and friction round after round, and the phosphate finish helps cut down on carbon fouling so cleanup at the end of a long day goes quicker. The gas key is staked the way it should be, which is the kind of detail that separates a carrier you can trust from one you second-guess.
If you bought a barrel that came with a headspaced bolt, you don't need to pay for a whole new bolt you'll never use. This kit hands you the carrier and the pins to bring it all together, and nothing you'll end up throwing in a parts drawer. Drop your existing bolt in, pin it up, and you've got a finished group ready to run.
Noveske has a long reputation for building parts to tight specs, and this carrier carries that same attention to detail. It fits standard small-frame AR-15 uppers and works with 5.56, .223, and .300 Blackout bolts alike, making it a solid foundation for just about any direct-impingement build you've got in mind.
No, this kit does not include a complete bolt or extractor. It's built to pair with a barrel that comes with its own headspaced bolt. You get the carrier, cam pin, firing pin, and firing pin retaining pin to finish out your group.
It's a full-auto (M16) profile carrier. The added mass helps smooth out the cycle and keeps the rifle running reliably. It works just fine in semi-auto AR-15 builds.
It's a standard small-frame AR-15 carrier, so it plays nicely with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, and .300 Blackout bolts. Since the kit doesn't come with a bolt, the caliber is determined by whatever headspaced bolt you pair it with.
Yes, the gas key comes properly staked from the factory, which helps keep it secure under repeated firing. The gas key is also chrome lined, as is the carrier bolt bore, to resist wear and make cleanup easier.
