The Allen X-Focus Window Rest is built for one specific job and does it well: giving you a stable front support when you're shooting out of a box blind, elevated stand, or over a fence rail. It drapes over the window ledge or rail with the filled body hanging on one side, creating a cradle that sits right where your rifle's forearm needs to rest. Inside, it's packed with inert poly beads that let the bag conform to your gun and settle into a steady, repeatable position instead of shifting around under recoil.
The gun contact area uses a tacky, textured grip surface that holds the forearm in place and acts almost like a self-tightening cradle, so your rifle isn't sliding off when you're trying to settle the crosshairs. That same surface is gentle on your stock and bluing, which matters when you're setting a nice rifle down on hard window ledges all season. The exterior is rugged ripstop polyester in a coyote finish with black accents, so it shrugs off the normal abuse of being tossed in a pack or dragged into a blind.
The underside has tacky grip panels that bite into the window sill or rail and keep the whole bag from creeping when you shoulder up. Hunters who shoot out of blind windows know the difference a dedicated rest makes over just laying the forearm on a bare ledge, and a lot of folks run a bag like this up front with a rear bag or bipod for a full front-and-rear setup. At 1.29 pounds and measuring 5.50 inches long by 7 inches high, it's compact enough to carry without a second thought and sized right for most box blind and shooting house windows.
Coming prefilled straight out of the package means there's no stuffing it yourself. Pull it out, lay it over the rail, and you're ready to hunt.
It drapes right over the window ledge or rail, with the filled body hanging down on one side to create a stable cradle. There's no clamping or drilling involved. The tacky grip panels on the bottom keep it from sliding around once you set it in place.
It comes prefilled from the factory with inert poly beads, so there's no setup required. Just pull it out of the package, lay it over your rail, and rest your rifle. The beads let the bag conform to your gun for a steady, repeatable position.
The gun cradle is made from a tacky, non-slip material designed to grip the forearm while being gentle on your firearm. It helps reduce wear against hard window ledges. That grip surface also keeps the rifle from sliding off as you settle in on target.
Yes. This is a front bag, and plenty of hunters pair a window rest up front with a rear bag or a bipod on the back of the rifle for added stability. That combination gets you close to a solid front-and-rear rest right out of your blind window.
