The S&W Bodyguard 2.0 earned its spot as one of the most popular micro .380s out there, and it deserves a holster that keeps things just as simple. The Galco Stow-N-Go STO648R is built specifically for that little pistol, cut from premium center cut steerhide in a natural tan finish. Leather against your side all day feels a whole lot better than a slab of plastic, and this one breaks in to your body the more you wear it.
The design is refreshingly straightforward. An open top gets the gun out fast, while the reinforced mouth holds its shape so you can reholster smoothly without fishing around or using your other hand. The injection-molded nylon clip grabs belts up to 1.75 inches wide, which means clipping it on before you head out the door takes about two seconds. No loops to thread, no screws to fiddle with. That on-and-off convenience is exactly what the name promises, and it is part of Galco's Concealed Carry Lite line, so you get their leatherworking know-how in a no-frills package.
The Stow-N-Go rides vertically with no cant, which makes it flexible on position. Wear it strong side behind the hip, up front for appendix carry, or crossdraw if that suits you better. The Bodyguard 2.0 is a featherweight pistol to begin with, and paired with soft steerhide it just about disappears inside your waistband. This STO648R is the right-hand version in natural finish.
Give the leather a short break-in period and a light wipe-down with conditioner now and then, and this holster will outlast most of the gear in your range bag. It is a simple, well-made piece of American gun leather that does its one job very well.
This model is cut specifically for the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0. Galco molds each Stow-N-Go to a particular firearm, so a dedicated fit like this gives you proper retention right out of the package. If you carry a different pistol, Galco makes the Stow-N-Go in dozens of other fits.
It carries the gun straight up and down with no cant, which keeps it versatile. Most folks run it strong side just behind the hip or up front in the appendix position, and crossdraw works too. The nylon clip lets you move it around until you find the spot that hides and draws best for you.
A short one, yes. Fresh steerhide starts out snug, so expect the first draws to feel tight before the holster forms to your pistol. Work the gun in and out a few times when you first get it, and within a little regular wear it settles into that smooth, secure fit leather is known for.
A belt is strongly recommended. The injection-molded nylon clip is designed to hook over belts up to 1.75 inches wide, and that is what keeps the holster anchored during the draw. It can also ride over a belt loop if that placement works better for you, which is a handy touch.
