Description
The Trijicon SRO (Specialized Reflex Optic) is one of the most recognizable pistol dots out there, and for good reason. That tall, round window is the whole point: it opens up your field of view so you spend less time hunting for the dot and more time driving it from target to target. This version runs a 2.5 MOA green dot, which many consider the sweet spot for pistol work since it's fine enough for precise aiming but still quick to find. The green illumination is easy on the eye in bright daylight, so you can often run it at a lower brightness setting and still see it clearly.
What Sets the SRO Green Dot Apart
Under the hood, the SRO shares its electronics design with the proven Trijicon RMR and uses the same RMR footprint, so it drops right onto an RMR-cut slide in most cases. The housing is 7075-T6 forged aluminum, which is tougher than the cast or machined bodies you'll find on a lot of competitors, and it's built to take the beating of slide-mounted pistol use. It's also waterproof down to 10 feet, so weather and range abuse aren't a concern.
Dialing In the SRO 2.5 MOA
Zeroing is tool-less. The windage and elevation adjustments move in 1 MOA clicks with 150 MOA of total travel, so you can get on paper and fine-tune without digging for a screwdriver. The CR2032 battery loads from the top, meaning you can swap it without pulling the optic off your slide and re-zeroing. There are 8 brightness settings including a super-bright mode and two night vision settings, plus an automatic mode that reads ambient light for you.
It also carries Lock-Out and Lock-In button modes. Lock-Out secures the auto-brightness setting, which is handy for carry or hunting, while Lock-In holds a brightness level you pick, which competition and target folks tend to prefer. Battery life runs about two years of continuous use at setting 4 of 8, and the whole unit weighs just 1.6 ounces.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Trijicon SRO fit my optic-ready pistol?
The SRO uses the Trijicon RMR footprint, so it drops directly onto RMR-cut slides in most cases. If your pistol uses a different cut, such as Glock MOS, Springfield OSP, Walther PDP, or H&K VP9, you'll need a Trijicon SRO mounting kit to adapt it. The mount is not included with the optic.
Why choose the green dot over the red SRO?
The human eye is most sensitive to green wavelengths, so a green dot tends to appear brighter and easier to pick up in daylight, even at lower brightness settings. That can make target acquisition feel a touch faster for a lot of people. Beyond the color, this green model shares the same wide window and feature set as the red SRO.
How long does the battery last and is it easy to change?
The SRO 2.5 MOA green dot is rated for about two years of continuous use at setting 4 of 8 on a single CR2032. The battery loads from the top of the optic, so you can swap it without removing the sight from your slide and losing your zero. A battery cap tool is included in the box.
What's the difference between the Lock-Out and Lock-In modes?
Lock-Out mode secures the automatic brightness setting, which is handy for everyday carry or hunting when you want the optic to read the light for you. Lock-In mode holds a brightness level you choose indefinitely, which competition and target shooters often prefer. Both keep the buttons from being bumped out of your chosen setting.
