The 25 Creedmoor might be the most interesting thing to happen to hunting cartridges in years, and CVA wasted no time chambering it in a rifle that makes sense for it. The Cascade Long Range Hunter gives this fast, low-recoil quarter bore a 24 inch fluted heavy-contour barrel to stretch its legs, wrapped in a package built for hunters who regularly shoot across canyons, bean fields, and open prairie. The cartridge splits the difference between the 6mm and 6.5 Creedmoor, throwing high BC bullets flat with noticeably less recoil, which means you can often watch your own impacts through the scope. For coyotes, pronghorn, and deer at distance, it is a genuinely sweet setup.
The barreled action wears a durable Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish and the muzzle comes threaded 5/8×24 with a radial brake installed, so recoil is tame and swapping to a suppressor is simple. Up top, a 20 MOA Picatinny rail gives your scope the extra elevation travel long shots demand. The three-lug bolt runs a short 70 degree throw for quick cycling with plenty of scope clearance, and the trigger adjusts from roughly 2 to 4 pounds so you can set it where you like it. A detachable box magazine holds four rounds.
The synthetic stock, finished in black with smoked bronze webbing, is where this rifle earns the Long Range Hunter name. An adjustable comb lets you line your eye up behind bigger optics, removable spacers tune length of pull from 13 to 14 inches, and the flat forend rides bags, packs, and tripods steadily. It is a stable platform whether you are prone on a ridgeline or leaning over the hood of a truck.
CVA backs the Cascade line with an MOA accuracy guarantee and a lifetime warranty, which says a lot about their confidence in these barrels. If you have been waiting for an affordable factory rifle in 25 Creedmoor, this one checks the boxes.
The 25 Creedmoor is a necked-down 6.5 Creedmoor that pushes high BC .257 bullets fast and flat with less recoil than its parent cartridge. That makes it a great crossover round for coyotes, pronghorn, and deer, with enough reach for long-range steel too. The softer recoil also makes it easier to spot your own hits through the scope.
Yes. The 24 inch barrel is threaded 5/8×24, which is the most common thread pattern for suppressors and muzzle devices in this caliber range. It ships with a radial muzzle brake installed, so you can run the brake, a can, or a thread protector depending on the day.
No iron sights or scope are included, but it comes optics ready with a 20 MOA Picatinny rail on the receiver. The canted rail gives your scope extra elevation travel, which is a real advantage when dialing for longer shots. Just add rings and glass and you are set.
You can. The trigger is user adjustable from roughly 2 to 4 pounds with a simple hex wrench, and the stock has an adjustable comb for proper eye alignment behind your scope. Removable spacers also let you set length of pull between 13 and 14 inches, so it fits a wide range of builds and layers of hunting clothing.
