The 7mm PRC has earned its reputation fast, pushing high BC bullets near 3,000 fps with less recoil than the old belted magnums, and the Cascade XT gives that cartridge a proper home without a custom shop price tag. This version wears Midnight Bronze Cerakote over the barreled action and a Mossy Oak New Bottomland synthetic stock, a pairing that looks sharp on the rack and disappears in the timber. At the heart of it is a 24 inch fluted #5 taper barrel, a bit heavier than a standard sporter contour, which settles the rifle down noticeably when you are shooting from sticks, a pack, or prone.
The XT treatment is all about control. The radial muzzle brake takes real bite out of the 7mm PRC, so you can stay in the scope and watch your hits instead of flinching through them. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24, so swapping the brake for a suppressor takes about a minute. An oversized tactical style bolt knob gives you plenty to grab with cold hands or gloves, and the 1:8 twist stabilizes the long, heavy 7mm bullets this cartridge was designed around. A factory installed Picatinny rail means you can mount glass right out of the box, and the flush-fit detachable magazine holds two rounds with a third in the chamber.

The 7mm PRC is a fat, long cartridge, so it takes up more room in the magazine box than standard long action rounds. While other long action Cascade XT chamberings hold three, the 7mm PRC version holds two in the flush-fit detachable magazine plus one in the chamber. For a hunting rifle, 2+1 covers the vast majority of real field scenarios.
Yes. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24, which is the standard thread pitch for most 30 caliber and 7mm rated suppressors. Just spin off the factory radial muzzle brake and thread on your can. Keep in mind your point of impact will shift slightly, so reconfirm zero after swapping.
It has the right ingredients: a heavier fluted #5 taper barrel, a 1:8 twist that stabilizes heavy high BC bullets, and a cartridge purpose-built for long range work. Published range testing of the Cascade XT in 7mm PRC has produced sub-MOA three shot groups with factory ammo, with some loads averaging around 0.7 inch at 100 yards. That is plenty of accuracy for ethical shots well beyond typical hunting distances.
No iron sights or scope are included, but the receiver comes with a Picatinny rail already installed. That means you can mount a scope with standard Picatinny rings right out of the box without buying separate bases. Given the reach of the 7mm PRC, pairing it with quality glass is the way to go.
