Barrett doesn't do commemorative releases often, and when they do, they go all in. The America 250th Anniversary series was built to mark 250 years of American independence, and the Model 82A1 version carries serial numbers LIBERTY001 through LIBERTY250, with just 250 units produced. The entire concept is summed up in Barrett's own phrase for the series: "Two .50s for 250." That's 250 82A1 rifles and 250 M107A1 rifles, each a different tribute to American history. This is the 82A1 side of that equation.
The finish on this rifle isn't a sticker or a roll mark, it's a full custom Cerakote design incorporating the iconic "Join or Die" snake motif, the colonial-era political cartoon that became one of the most enduring symbols of American unity. The Flat Dark Earth and Black color scheme ties it together without going over the top. Underneath the commemorative finish is the same 82A1 platform that's been in service worldwide, chambered in .50 BMG, with a 20-inch fluted chrome-lined barrel, a recoil-operated semi-automatic action, flip-up iron sights, and a 23-inch M1913 Picatinny rail set at 27 MOA. This is still a fully functional, ready-to-shoot rifle.
The package is where this thing really sets itself apart from any other commemorative firearm you'll find. Every component in the set shares the same serial number. You get the rifle, a serial-number-matched RMJ Tactical Patriot Tomahawk (the Patriot is specific to the 82A1), a matching commemorative challenge coin, and a certificate of authenticity personally signed by Ronnie Barrett, the founder of Barrett Firearms. The whole presentation ships in a custom Pelican hard case that displays the rifle fully assembled, along with a Barrett manual and sticker set. The RMJ Patriot itself is no trinket either, it's a historically-styled pipe hawk with a 6150 tool steel head and an ash handle, based on a real design from the late 1700s.

Only 250 units of the Model 82A1 were produced for this series, serialized LIBERTY001 through LIBERTY250. There are no plans for additional production runs. Once dealer inventory is gone, there is no restocking.

It is a fully functional, live-fire .50 BMG rifle, not a display-only item. The commemorative finish and package elements are added on top of a standard-spec 82A1 platform with a 20-inch chrome-lined fluted barrel, working iron sights, and a Picatinny optics rail. The Patriot is a historically-styled pipe tomahawk made by RMJ Tactical, with a 6150 tool steel head and an ash handle. It is designed after an actual late-1700s tomahawk, and the head is investment cast and finished with a dark patina. It is specific to the 82A1 package, with the M107A1 version of the series receiving a different RMJ model called the Kestrel.
The rifle ships with a 23-inch M1913 Picatinny rail set at 27 MOA, which is the same full-length rail found on standard production 82A1 models. It will accept any full-size rifle scope or night vision device with standard Picatinny rings. The 27 MOA of built-in elevation gives you a significant head start for dialing in extreme long-range shots.
