The Tikka T3x CTR has earned a reputation as the bolt gun people land on when they want serious precision without spending custom rifle money, and this 6mm Creedmoor version might be the sweetest chambering in the lineup. The 6 Creed pushes high BC bullets fast and flat with noticeably less recoil than its 6.5 sibling, which is exactly why it took over the match circuit. Feed it through a 24 inch stainless cold hammer forged barrel with a fast 1:7.5 twist and you have a setup built to stabilize the long, heavy match bullets that make this cartridge shine at distance.
CTR stands for Compact Tactical Rifle, and Tikka built it as a working precision gun rather than a hunting rifle with a stiff stock bolted on. The semi-heavy barrel contour adds rigidity and soaks up heat during longer strings without dragging the rifle into full varmint-gun territory. The muzzle comes threaded 5/8×24 from the factory, so a suppressor or brake spins right on. The detachable 10-round steel magazine keeps you shooting instead of topping off, and the aluminum trigger guard with its release lever makes mag swaps quick.
