That skeleton gets wrapped in the same durable, non-slip rubber compound Hogue uses on their pistol grips, creating a finish that's genuinely quiet and comfortable to shoot. You'll get a 13-3/4 inch length of pull with a straight comb profile, palm swells for a better grip, and that distinctive Cobblestone texture that gives you a sure purchase without being gritty.
Where this stock really shines is the full-length bedding block that runs the entire length of the action and forend. It keeps everything solid and stable while also making it flexible enough to handle different floor plates and magazine setups. The barrel channel will free-float most number 2 and 3 taper barrels, which helps with accuracy. If you've got a thicker barrel or military stepped profile, the rubber-lined channel can be opened up easily with basic tools.
The drop-in fit works with virtually all M98 factory and aftermarket triggers with zero modifications. The stock is relieved for bent-down or swept-back bolt handles, but straight military handles function fine too. The floor plate inlet is cut for push-button style magazine doors, and there's a cutout for shorter FN floor plates. Screw hole spacing matches factory original Mauser dimensions at 7-13/16 inches center to center, keeping everything compatible with your original setup.

Yes. This stock is designed as a drop-in fit and will work with virtually all factory and aftermarket M98 trigger mechanisms without any modifications needed. Minor fitting may occasionally be required on custom or unusual trigger setups, but in most cases it goes straight in.
The barrel channel will free-float most number 2 and number 3 taper barrels. If you have a thicker barrel or a military stepped profile, the rubber-lined channel can be easily enlarged with basic tools like a Dremel.
This stock is designed specifically for sporterized M98 large ring Mausers and will also fit Czech VZ 24 rifles. It will not fit the M48 short action Mauser without modification. For military rifles, it works best on models with sporterized barrels.
