The SilencerCo Threaded Barrel for the Glock 17 is a drop-in replacement barrel built for one job: getting your pistol ready to run a suppressor or muzzle device. It's cut with a 1/2×28 thread pattern, which is the standard for 9mm cans and comps, so it plays nice with most of the mounts and pistons already out there. The barrel measures 5 inches overall with a 1:10 right-hand twist, and it ships with a thread protector already on the muzzle to keep those threads clean when you're running bare.
This one is machined from heat-treated 416R stainless steel and finished in black salt bath nitride. That combination gives you a hard, slick surface that shrugs off wear and corrosion, which matters when you're running suppressed and dumping extra gas and fouling back into the system. SilencerCo built these because they were tired of seeing cheap aftermarket barrels with sloppy threads, and concentric threads are a big deal when you've got a can hanging off the end. Off-center threading is how baffle strikes happen, so this is not a corner you want to cut.
The AC864 is made for the Glock 17 in Gen 1 through Gen 4. It does not fit the Gen 5 Glock 17, so if you're running a Gen 5 you'll want the barrel made for that frame instead. Installation is as simple as any Glock barrel swap: field strip, drop it in, and reassemble. No gunsmithing, no fitting.
Keep in mind that to actually mount a pistol suppressor you'll also need a piston or booster assembly, which is sold separately. The barrel handles the threading and the fit, and the piston handles the recoil impulse of a tilting-barrel action.
