The extended profile works especially well if you shoot with optics since it positions your head better relative to the scope. The MOD-2 SOPMOD stock includes BCM's patented semi-clubfoot design that stays snag-free even when slung or packed with gear. You get three rear sling mount options and two different ambidextrous QD attachment points for maximum versatility.
Instead of a standard carbine buffer, this lower uses BCM's MK2 system with a longer receiver extension and a heavier, more refined buffer. The MK2 Mod 1 T0 buffer weighs approximately 3.8 ounces and manages recoil better than carbine-length setups. It reduces felt recoil and keeps the bolt carrier moving more consistently, which improves reliability with different ammunition types and handling conditions. The system also includes a mil-spec M16A4 rifle spring with more coils than a standard carbine spring, spreading the load more evenly for smoother cycling and less bounce between shots.
Inside you'll find the BCM PNT trigger with a polished nickel-teflon finish for a clean, consistent break. The BCM Mod 4 pistol grip provides a reduced angle design that fits naturally in your hand. The enhanced trigger guard gives extra clearance if you shoot with gloves. Everything is staked properly and assembled to mil-spec standards.
