This is the complete M16-cut (full-auto profile) BCG in black, built to true USGI specs and fully assembled so you can drop it into your AR-15, M16, or M4 upper and get to work. The bolt itself is machined from Mil-Spec Carpenter No. 158 steel, then shot peened to boost surface strength. Every bolt goes through High Pressure Testing (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), which is BCM's way of catching flaws before they ever reach your rifle. You also get a tool steel extractor and ejector plus BCM's own extractor spring, all the little pieces that keep extraction consistent shot after shot.
The carrier wears a parkerized exterior with a chrome-lined interior, so it fights corrosion and cleans up easier after a long range day. The gas key is chrome lined, heat treated to GI spec, and secured with Grade 8 fasteners that are properly staked per Mil-Spec. That staking is what keeps your gas system sealed and reliable, and it's an area where a lot of cheaper BCGs cut corners.
The full-auto carrier profile carries a touch more mass than a semi-auto carrier, which many builders prefer for smoother, more consistent cycling across different loads and buffer setups. Every BCM group is test fired for function before shipping, so it may show a few light handling marks from that quality control process. That's normal and a sign it earned its spot in the box. If you want a bolt carrier group that just runs, this one has earned its reputation the hard way.

The M16 (full-auto) carrier has more material on the underside toward the rear, giving it slightly more mass than a semi-auto carrier. In a standard AR-15 this extra weight can help the rifle cycle more consistently across different loads and buffer weights. Function in a semi-auto gun is identical either way.
It does. This bolt carrier group ships complete and fully assembled with the bolt, gas key, extractor, ejector, and springs already installed. Wipe it down, add a little lube, and it's ready to drop into your upper receiver.
Every BCM BCG is test fired for function before it leaves the factory as part of their quality control. Because of that, you may notice a few light handling marks on the group when it arrives. That's completely normal and simply means your BCG was verified to run before shipping.
