The ATI Shotforce G2 takes a beat-up factory shotgun and gives it a whole new personality. It swaps in a comfortable pistol grip, a collapsible buttstock, and a recoil pad that pulls the sting out of stout loads. If you have a 12 gauge pump that fits like it was built for somebody else, this is the kind of upgrade that makes range days a lot easier on the shoulder.
The backbone here is the GEN2 TactLite six-position adjustable stock riding on a mil-spec buffer tube. Length of pull runs from roughly 12 1/8 inches out to 15 inches, so you can set it up short for a smaller-framed shooter or run it long with a heavy jacket on. The whole thing is built from DuPont glass-reinforced polymer that shrugs off chemicals, moisture, and temperature swings without warping or getting brittle.
The standout is ATI's TracLOCK system. It clamps the stock tight to the buffer tube and kills the wobble that plagues a lot of budget collapsible stocks, both side to side and up and down. That means no secondary lock to fuss with and no rattle when you shoulder the gun. The X1 buttpad handles the recoil side of things, soaking up impact and knocking down muzzle lift so you can shoot heavier turkey or slug loads without paying for it later.
This stock is genuinely universal for the common pump platforms. It ships with the adapters and mounting hardware for the Mossberg 500, 535, 590, and 835, the Maverick 88, the Remington 870, and the Winchester 1200 and 1300. Install is a straightforward job most folks knock out at the bench in a few minutes, and dual-sided QD sling points are molded right in for whichever side you carry on. That is the whole point of it. TracLOCK clamps the stock down onto the buffer tube and removes both the horizontal and vertical play that cheaper collapsible stocks tend to have, so you get a solid, rattle-free cheek weld without needing a separate lock.
Not for most people. It's a bolt-on job using the included adapters and hardware, and plenty of folks have it done at the bench in just a few minutes. Just make sure the shotgun is unloaded first and avoid over-torquing the screws so you don't strip anything.
