The Nightstick SFL-11GL replaces your factory pump handle with a full-featured light and laser package. It's a straightforward upgrade that turns your Mossberg into a low-light capable platform without adding much fuss to the installation process.
What you get with the SFL-11GL forend is a serious output: 1200 lumens of white LED light backed by a deep parabolic reflector that creates a defined center spot with a soft secondary halo. The focused beam reaches out to 203 meters, so it cuts through darkness whether you're clearing a home or working in poor conditions. The green laser gives you an instant aiming point when that light is on target, which is useful for home defense and pistol-grip shotguns like the Shockwave where traditional sights aren't practical.
This isn't just a light bolted to a pump. The SFL-11GL was engineered as a functional forend first. It features an ergonomic palm swell that sits naturally in your hand, paired with textured grip surfaces that prevent slipping even under recoil. The ambidextrous switches are positioned at the front of the forend and surrounded by a raised bump guard to prevent accidental activation when you're racking the action or managing the gun under stress. You get momentary and constant-on modes for both the light and laser, so you can run light only, laser only, or both together depending on your situation.
The one-piece glass-filled nylon body with over-molded rubber is engineered to take punishment. It's recoil tested, waterproof to IP-X7 standards, and handles impact and chemical exposure without degrading. Installation is straightforward. The package includes Nightstick's SFL action tube nut wrench, which makes removing your factory castle nut and pump easy. The forend comes with an optional retention strap, hand stop, 2mm Allen wrench, a spacer to fit both standard and Shockwave-sized action tubes, and two CR123 batteries to get running. Runtime is 1.5 hours on those batteries, though you can step up to rechargeable li-ion with the optional 18650-KIT if you want that flexibility.
Installation is straightforward and takes about 5 minutes. Nightstick includes a specialized action tube nut wrench that makes removal of the factory castle nut and pump handle simple. You don't need special tools beyond what's in the box. The package also includes a spacer that allows the forend to fit both standard action tubes and Shockwave-sized tubes.
Yes. The dual ambidextrous switches let you operate the light and laser independently or together. You can run light only, laser only, or both simultaneously. Both switches support momentary and constant-on activation so you can choose how the light behaves based on what you need in the moment.
The SFL-11GL is compatible with Mossberg 500/590/590A1 and Shockwave models, but it is not compatible with the 590R, 590RM, 590R Standoff, or 590RM Standoff variants, or the 590M magazine loader model. Before ordering, verify your specific shotgun model to confirm compatibility.
The included CR123 batteries provide 1.5 hours of runtime. If you want rechargeable capability, Nightstick sells an optional 18650 lithium-ion battery kit (18650-KIT) that you can use as an upgrade. This gives you the flexibility to use standard batteries or switch to rechargeables depending on your needs.
