This TacFire kit is built around a 10.5" barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO, which lands in that sweet spot for an AR pistol. You get enough barrel length to wring real velocity out of 5.56 without the extra bulk, and the pistol-length gas system with a low profile gas block keeps the setup short and snappy. The barrel wears a 1/2×28 threaded muzzle with an A2 flash hider up front, and a full-length 10" M-LOK free-float handguard gives you room to mount lights, grips, and hand stops wherever you want them.
Every major component for the build is here except the stripped lower. That means a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver, a 5.56 bolt carrier group, a mil-spec charging handle, forward assist, and dust cover. The pistol buffer tube, buffer, and spring are included along with a complete lower parts kit and A2 pistol grip, so once you drop in a lower receiver you have a functioning platform. Parts ship unassembled and individually packaged, which is part of the appeal for folks who like doing the wrench work themselves.
Assembly is a familiar job for anyone who has spun an AR together before. If it's your first build, a set of punches, an armorer's wrench, a vise block, and a torque wrench will cover most of the work, and there are plenty of walkthrough videos for the pistol buffer tube and barrel nut steps.
