The Q Whistle Tip is a compact blast mitigation device built to pair with Q's Cherry Bomb muzzle brake. When you're running the Cherry Bomb without a suppressor, that little brake throws a lot of concussion back at you and anyone standing nearby. The Whistle Tip screws right onto the front and redirects that sound and pressure downrange, taking the edge off the felt blast so you can actually enjoy a range session next to the guy in the lane over. It's machined from 17-4 stainless steel and wears a Black PVD finish that looks sharp and holds up to heat and handling.
Think of it as a two-in-one piece. First, it's a blast mitigation device that tames the bark of the Cherry Bomb when you're shooting unsuppressed. Second, when your can is off and the brake is sitting exposed, the Whistle Tip works as a thread protector to keep those Cherry Bomb threads clean and dinged-free. At 1.85 inches long, 1.16 inches in diameter, and just 2.7 ounces, it barely changes the balance or profile of your setup.
Installation is about as simple as it gets. The Whistle Tip uses a taper mount shoulder that indexes to the Cherry Bomb for proper alignment, so there's no timing, no shims, and no crush washers to mess with. It goes on righty-tighty with any off-the-shelf 1-inch wrench, torqued to 10-15 ft-lbs. One thing worth knowing before you order: this fits the standard Cherry Bomb models but will not thread onto the XL Cherry Bomb in the M18x1.5 pattern.
Because of the heat-treating process, small cosmetic variations in the finish are normal from piece to piece, and none of that affects how it performs. If you're already running the Q ecosystem and want a cleaner, quieter unsuppressed experience without adding bulk, the Whistle Tip is a smart little add-on.

The Whistle Tip is machined from 17-4 stainless steel and heat-treated, and that process can leave minor cosmetic variations from one piece to the next. Small differences in the Black PVD coloring are completely normal and don't affect how it functions. Every unit still does its job the same way.
