Description
The MDT TIMBR Core for the Savage 110 short action is the answer to a question wood-stock fans have been asking for years: can you get classic sporter looks without giving up chassis-level consistency? MDT pulled it off by carving each stock from a single piece of walnut and building an aluminum micro-chassis right into the core. The V-block bedding locks your barreled action into place with a solid, flex-free connection, so you get the repeatable groups a chassis is known for while keeping the timeless feel of real wood in your hands. This one is cut for right-hand Savage 110 short actions.
What Sets the TIMBR Core Walnut Stock Apart
Because every stock starts as natural walnut, no two look the same. The grain, color, and finish are unique to your rifle, and laser texturing on the grip and forend adds grip and a sharp look. Wood has a way of soaking up recoil that a lot of synthetic stocks can't match, giving you a dead-stable shot that helps you spot your own trace and get back on target quicker. It handles hot and cold days without the temperature swings you feel in some materials, which makes it a great pick for a hunting rig that lives outdoors.
Fitting the Savage 110 TIMBR Core to Your Setup
The forend is oversized enough to free-float big barrels, supporting profiles all the way up to a Proof Research Sendero contour. Length of pull adjusts from 13.94 to 14.94 inches using the four quarter-inch spacers and a 5/32 hex key, and it ships set at 14.2 inches out of the box. MDT designed it with modern ergonomics baked in: a more vertical grip angle and a raised comb for a better cheek weld behind an optic, plus a flatter belly that rides a rear bag nicely. Sling studs on the underside handle a bipod and sling.
Keep in mind this is a stock only. You'll need a compatible bottom metal to run it, and it works with MDT Core, Hunter, and Precision bottom metal as well as any Badger M5 profile unit. The stock weighs 3 pounds 3 ounces on its own, and MDT put it through serious testing including 15,000-plus rounds of simulated fire, humidity and salt-bath exposure, heat and deep-freeze cycles, and repeated drop tests.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the TIMBR Core stock come with bottom metal?
No, the stock ships on its own and you'll need to add a bottom metal to run it. It's compatible with MDT Core, Hunter, and Precision bottom metal, along with any Badger M5 profile unit. Pick the one that matches the magazine setup you want for your build.
Do I need to glass bed the TIMBR Core or have a gunsmith install it?
No bedding or gunsmithing is required. The aluminum micro-chassis and V-block bedding system are built into the stock, so you just drop your barreled action in and torque it down. That's what gives you a rigid, repeatable fit without the extra shop work.
Will this MDT TIMBR Core fit my Savage 110 with a heavy barrel?
The forend is oversized to free-float larger barrel profiles, and it supports contours as big as the Proof Research Sendero. That covers most heavy sporter and varmint barrels you'll find on a Savage 110 short action. This particular model is built for right-hand short actions.
Can I adjust the length of pull on the TIMBR Core?
Yes. It ships at a 14.2-inch length of pull and adjusts from 13.94 to 14.94 inches using the four included quarter-inch spacers and a 5/32 hex key. That lets you dial in a comfortable, repeatable fit for your build and shooting style.
