Dead Air took their time getting into the dedicated 5.56 game, and the Sierra 5 shows why the wait was worth it. Instead of stainless or titanium baffles like most cans in this size class, Dead Air went with Stellite, a cobalt-chromium alloy that shrugs off the kind of heat that slowly eats lesser suppressors alive. The whole baffle stack is fully laser welded into a monolithic core, then welded again to the 17-4 stainless outer tube. The result is a can that's full-auto rated with no barrel length restrictions, which is a rare combination at this size. Hang it on a short-barreled AR and dump mags without babying it.
This is the Xeno-mount configuration, which keeps things trim. You get the Xeno adapter and a 1/2-28 Xeno flash hider in the box, so you can thread the mount onto your muzzle and go. With the Xeno adapter installed, the Sierra 5 runs about 5.72 inches long and 13.3 ounces, noticeably shorter and lighter than the KeyMo version. And since the rear of the can uses the industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB thread, you're never locked in. Swap to KeyMo, a fixed mount, or a third-party HUB option whenever your setup changes.
Because this isn't a multi-caliber compromise, the baffle geometry is optimized specifically for 5.56 pressure curves. That means strong sound suppression, reduced flash signature, and lower blowback than you'd expect from a can this compact, which your eyes and lungs will appreciate on a gassy short barrel. The front cap is interchangeable and compatible with Dead Air's R-Series caps, including the E-Brake if you want to tune the muzzle end further.
The knurled tube borrowed from the Wolverine gives you real grip when the can is carbon-locked after a long range day, and the high-temp Cerakote finish holds up to hard use. For an AR-15 that gets run hard, this one is tough to beat.

The Xeno version is shorter and lighter, coming in around 5.72 inches and 13.3 ounces with the adapter installed, versus roughly 6.27 inches and 15.4 ounces for the KeyMo model. Since the rear thread is standard 1.375×24 HUB, you can switch mounting systems later if you change your mind.
