The disconnector is one of those small 1911 parts nobody talks about until it lets them down, and that's exactly why the factory MIM (metal injection molded) version is the first thing a lot of folks swap out. Wilson Combat's Bullet Proof Disconnector (part #573) is CNC machined from a solid alloy steel billet, not cast or injection molded, so it holds its dimensions and shrugs off wear for the life of the pistol.
