The BCM Gunfighter KeyMod Rail Panel Kit gives you five slim polymer strips that snap right into KeyMod slots, smoothing out those sharp cutouts and turning an octagonal handguard into something that feels rounder and more natural in the palm. Each panel covers seven consecutive KeyMod slots and measures 5.550 inches long, 0.625 inch wide, and just 0.100 inch thick, so you get coverage without adding bulk.
The surface texture is where these earn their keep. It's aggressive enough to lock your grip in place whether you're shooting off a bag, working from prone, or manipulating the rifle on the move, and the matte finish keeps glare down. The panels are ventilated, so heat from a hard-working barrel can still escape instead of building up against your support hand. Between the grip and the buffer against a hot rail, they make a real difference on longer range sessions.
Installation is straightforward thanks to bi-directional locking tabs on either end. They hold firm once seated, and each strip has a set placement relative to the others to keep the system modular. They're made to fit any KeyMod mounting surface that has at least seven consecutive KeyMod slots. As long as your handguard uses the KeyMod system and has the room, these will seat right in. They will not work on M-LOK or Picatinny rails, so double-check that your rail is KeyMod before ordering.
Yes, the panels are designed to be trimmed to whatever length your setup calls for. That makes them easy to fit around lights, sights, sling mounts, or any spot where a full 5.5-inch run won't work. A sharp blade or saw does the job cleanly.
They do. The panels put a layer of polymer between your support hand and the aluminum rail, and they're ventilated so heat can still escape. On longer strings of fire you'll notice a lot less of that hot-rail discomfort against your hand.
Each kit includes five matching Flat Dark Earth panel strips. That's usually enough to cover most of a standard handguard and keep the color and texture consistent all the way around. If you're running a longer rail or multiple rifles, you may want a second pack.
