The FightLite MCR Magazine Adapter is a small part that does a big job. If you're running a FightLite belt-fed upper, this aluminum block plugs straight into the standard magazine well of your AR15, M16, or M4 lower and opens the door to feeding linked ammunition. Instead of a box mag, you get a mounting point for FightLite's soft-sided linked ammo pouches, which is exactly what makes the dual-feed MCR system tick.
It's machined from aluminum and wears a black anodized finish, so it holds up to range abuse and handles the wear that comes with a belt-fed gun. The whole point here is mobility and cleaner ammo handling. With the pouch mounted right to the firearm, you cut down on snag hazards and keep your linked belt riding along with the gun rather than dangling off to the side.
This adapter is made to work with FightLite belt-fed uppers only, and it plays nice across the lineup. It fits all models of the FightLite MCR, along with the ARES Shrike 5.56 and the ARES AMG-2. If you own one of those uppers and want to run linked ammo, this is the factory piece that connects the two halves of the system.
Installation is about as simple as it gets. The adapter seats in the mag well like a magazine would, and when you want it out, you just press the normal magazine release button and it drops free of the lower. No tools, no fuss, no fighting with it in the field. It's a must-have for anyone running the dual-feed MCR and wanting the flexibility to switch between box mags and linked belts.
