It's a true drop-in stock for 3rd generation Savage short action Series 10/110 centerfire rifles, so if your rifle has center-feed magazine compatibility and 4.40-inch action screw spacing (H-prefix and later, 2006 and up), this bolts right in. The build starts with a reinforced polymer shell wrapped around a Type III hard anodized, machine-finished A380 cast aluminum V-bedding block that doesn't require any custom bedding work. That block gives your action a consistent, repeatable home, and the tapered forend free-floats compatible factory barrels up to Medium Palma and Savage Varmint contours.
Comb height and length of pull are both adjustable, which is where this stock earns its keep. Length of pull runs from 13 to 15 inches using half-inch spacers, and it comes with a pre-fitted 0.25-inch cheek riser (0.00, 0.50, and 0.75-inch risers are available separately). The rubber butt-pad keeps things planted on your shoulder, and dialing in a proper cheek weld behind glass makes a real difference downrange.
