The Blue Force Gear PPB100 is a push-button quick-detach sling swivel built for folks who want to move a sling between rifles without fuss. Blue Force Gear built this swivel to run stronger and lighter than the run-of-the-mill push-button QD hardware you'll find elsewhere. The body and button are kept compact to trim weight, and that smaller profile also cuts down on the chance of the button getting bumped and releasing when you don't want it to. The sling loop itself is a larger gauge, which is where a lot of the added strength and durability comes from. This is the 1" loop version, machined from steel and wearing a matte phosphate finish for corrosion resistance and a low-signature look that doesn't reflect light. The swivel threads onto any Vickers Combat Applications Sling and works great with 1.25" webbing, where the 1" loop keeps the swivel from sliding around and staying more stationary on the sling. One tip worth passing along from folks who run these hard: a small drop of oil or gun lube down the push button channel during cleaning keeps the mechanism smooth and helps protect the internals from moisture.
