The Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics line proves you don't have to sacrifice quality when you're shooting on a budget. These 2.75-inch shells pack first-run chilled lead shot paired with one-piece wads and clean-burning powder. The result is a round that breaks clays reliably, cycles smoothly, and won't leave you sore after running multiple flats through your gun.
Chilled lead shot is harder than soft lead, which means the pellets resist flattening under the pressure of ignition. They hold their shape, fly tighter, and stay in pattern longer downrange. The one-piece shot cup keeps pellets organized through the bore, and Fiocchi's cushioned wads soak up some of the recoil before it reaches your shoulder. Clean-burning powder means less residue buildup, so your gun stays cleaner between sessions.
At 1170 fps, these aren't screaming hot. That's actually the point. Moderate velocity paired with a 1-ounce payload creates a soft-shooting load that's perfect for 16-yard trap and singles. They work great as the first shot on trap doubles too. Field reports show consistent breaks on clay targets when you do your part putting the pattern on the bird. Feedback from trap and skeet ranges consistently highlights how this load punches above its weight for the price.
These shells are designed for people who actually shoot a lot. The one-piece construction keeps everything consistent from round to round. Twenty-five rounds per box, ten boxes per case. Load up and get to work.
Chilled shot is cooled during manufacturing which makes it harder without additional hardening agents. It resists flattening under ignition and holds a tighter pattern. Antimony is an alloying agent added to lead for hardness. Both work for clay target shooting, but chilled shot is cost-effective and still delivers solid patterns when you're shooting clays within normal ranges.
They're designed specifically for it. The 1 ounce payload and #8 shot size pair well with standard clay target distances, especially 16-yard trap and singles. Many shooters use them for doubles too, particularly as the first shot where they excel. Some competitive shooters reserve higher-end loads for longer handicap distances.
These are known for being mild on the shoulder. The 1170 fps velocity is moderate, and the cushioned wads absorb some of the kick before it gets to you. If you shoot a lot or have shoulder sensitivity, these tend to be easier to shoot all day than hotter loads.
Yes. These shells use quality plastic hulls suitable for reloading. If you handload, you'll get multiple uses from each hull before the brass starts to wear. This makes them even more economical for high-volume shooters over time.
