The Birchwood Casey Dirty Bird 16.5 x 24 is one of those targets that just makes practice easier. Instead of squinting downrange trying to figure out where your last round landed, you get a burst of bright white splatter that shows up the instant a bullet punches through. The oval aiming zones are printed in blue and orange for solid contrast, so lining up your sights and reading your shot placement takes zero guesswork, even from a distance.
The whole idea behind these targets is speed and visibility. Every strike leaves a high-contrast white ring around the hole, which means faster feedback between shots and less time wasted checking your work. That contrast is a big help when you are dialing in a group or working on consistency, and it shows up well in both indoor lanes and bright outdoor sun.
Each Dirty Bird target is made from heavy tagboard, so it holds up better on the frame than flimsy printer paper and won't flap around in a breeze. The full 16.5 x 24 inch silhouette size gives you plenty of surface for pistol drills, and the layout works just as well for rifle practice at closer distances.
The back is non-adhesive, so you can hang or staple these however your range setup calls for. When you're done, that same flat back makes it easy to jot notes right on the target and file it away to track your progress over time. You get three targets in the pack, which is enough to cover a solid session or two before you need to grab more.
Every hit reveals a bright white splatter around the bullet hole. That white ring stands out against the blue and orange aiming zones, which makes it easy to spot your shots from the firing line. It works well in both indoor lighting and outdoor sun.
Yes. The full-size silhouette layout is popular for pistol drills, but it works just as well for rifle practice at shorter ranges. The splatter feedback is handy no matter what you're shooting since it shows up clearly downrange.
The back is non-adhesive, so you can staple or clip them to a standard target frame or backer. You can also add your own tape if you want to stick them to a surface. When you're finished, the flat back makes it easy to write notes and save the target.
This is a 3-pack, so you get three individual 16.5 x 24 inch targets. That's typically enough for a good practice session or two. If you shoot often, it's an easy one to keep a few packs on hand.
