Cobalt Kinetics built its name on machining ARs that look like nothing else on the rack, and the Pro Lite brings that same attention to detail to a compact .300 Blackout package. The upper and lower are cut from 7075 T6 billet aluminum, the lower has an integrated trigger guard, and the receiver set wears Cobalt's signature CK Green finish that stands out without going full custom shop. Up front you get a 7.5 inch 4150 CMV barrel with a Melonite treatment for wear and corrosion resistance, a 1:7 twist that stabilizes both supersonic and heavy subsonic loads, and Cobalt's RCB-6 muzzle device that plays nice with Cobalt, CGS, and SpectreCat mounts.
The .300 Blackout cartridge was designed from the start to burn its powder in short barrels, so a 7.5 inch tube gives up very little compared to longer setups. That makes the Pro Lite a natural for tight quarters, truck duty, or a suppressed range rig where you want a maneuverable gun that still hits with authority. The semi-monolithic 6061 handguard is free floated with M-LOK slots on seven sides, so mounting lights, lasers, or a hand stop is simple, and the flat top Picatinny rail is ready for whatever optic you run.
Cobalt did not cut corners on the internals. The bolt carrier group pairs an 8620 carrier with a C158 bolt and a billet extractor, and the controls are set up ambidextrous, including a 90 degree ambi safety, so lefties are not treated like an afterthought. An enhanced trigger and a non-adjustable .750 diameter gas block keep the gun running smooth and predictable. The SB Tactical SBA3 brace adjusts to fit your build, and it feeds from standard AR magazines with a 30 plus 1 capacity out of the box. Yes. The 1:7 twist barrel stabilizes heavy subsonic bullets in the 190 to 220 grain range as well as lighter supersonic loads. As with most short-barreled .300 Blackout guns, subsonics tend to run most reliably when paired with a suppressor, so plan your ammo choice around how you intend to shoot it.
It comes with Cobalt's RCB-6 muzzle device, which serves as a mount for Cobalt, CGS, and SpectreCat suppressor systems. If you run a different can, the barrel accepts standard muzzle devices so you can swap to the mount your suppressor requires. Short-barreled .300 Blackout is one of the best suppressor hosts out there, so it is worth setting up.
It feeds from standard AR-15 pattern magazines and ships with one 30-round mag for a 30 plus 1 capacity. Because .300 Blackout shares case dimensions with 5.56 at the base, your existing AR mags will work, though many folks prefer dedicated .300 Blackout marked mags to avoid mixing ammo.
Left-handed use was a design priority on the Pro Lite. It features an ambidextrous 90 degree safety and an ambi charging handle, and Cobalt lists ambidextrous adaptability as one of the core goals of the Pro series. Lefties can run this gun without workarounds.
