If you want to run it with irons only, the 3-dot white front and blacked-out rear setup gives you a quick, usable sight picture. Under the muzzle you'll find a Picatinny rail for lights or lasers, and the controls are low-profile and ambidextrous-friendly, with an ambidextrous slide release and a reversible magazine catch.
Grip ergonomics get real attention here. The 12-round magazine uses a flush-fit baseplate that keeps the grip shorter, making it slightly easier to conceal for deeper carry or smaller-framed individuals. The 15-round magazine extends below the grip and gives you a full hand purchase, which most people find more comfortable for range sessions or home defense use. Both magazines are steel-framed and ship standard with every MC9. A good approach for carry is to run the 12-rounder in the gun for concealment and keep the 15-rounder as your spare.
This is a Lipsey's exclusive configuration, meaning it's distributed only through Lipsey's and not available as a standard catalog item everywhere. The functional specs are identical to the base MC9, but the slide wears a bronze Cerakote finish instead of the standard nitride black. Cerakote adds a solid layer of corrosion resistance on top of the protective finish and gives the gun a distinctive two-tone look with the black polymer frame.
The MC9's trigger is widely considered one of the best in the micro-compact class. No, the METE MC9 does not have a traditional external manual safety. It uses a trigger blade safety integrated into the face of the trigger, which is standard for striker-fired pistols in this category. This is the same safety system used on Glocks and many other popular carry guns. Safe carry depends on using a proper holster that fully covers and protects the trigger guard.
