The Hiperfire X2S MOD-3 takes the same proven internals as the MOD-2 and dresses them up with a flat trigger bow, an included HIPERSHOE finger pad, and a slick Black Nitride finish. It's a two-stage, semi-drop-in unit made for AR-15 and AR-10 rifles, and it also plays nicely with AR-9 pistol caliber carbines and the SIG Sauer MPX. What you get is a short, adjustable first stage that runs 2 to 3 pounds and hits a distinct wall, followed by a clean second stage that breaks with almost no over-travel. Total pull lands at 3.5 to 4.5 pounds depending on which springs you drop in.
The engineering under the hood is where this one earns its keep. Hiperfire's Cam-Over Toggle Engine lets you run a lighter pull without giving up hammer strike energy, which keeps ignition reliable. Radical Sear Mechanics allow the use of heavier hammer springs, and that helps knock out light primer strikes while adding to service life. Soft Start Lock-Up is designed to reduce that flinch you get right after the break, which pays off when you're stretching things out to distance.

The MOD-3 has a shorter first stage than the MOD-1, giving you a faster, snappier prep before the wall.
