The Magpul MP BSL Arm Brace is the company's take on stabilizing the full-size MP5, and it nails the balance between function and looks. It installs onto MP5 and HK94 pattern pistols using the factory backplate interface, delivering a collapsible fin-style brace that helps you run the gun one-handed without wrestling with a bulky folding system. The extended fin gives your trigger-hand forearm plenty of solid contact, so the pistol settles down when you press the trigger. And because it keeps that slim, minimalist profile, your SP5 or clone still looks the part.
Magpul built this out of their proprietary high-strength polymer paired with metal internals, so it holds up to real use without adding a bunch of weight. The tool-less adjustment latch lets you deploy or collapse the brace with one hand, and the release is a lever you push upward rather than a side paddle, which makes it a genuinely ambidextrous setup for lefties and righties alike. Collapsed, it stays compact for storage and transport; extended, it gives you a stable platform to work from.
There's an integral QD socket at the rear that serves as a true ambidextrous sling attachment point. Beyond just carrying the gun, you can run sling tension against it by pushing forward, which is a proven trick for tightening up stability during one-handed fire. If QD isn't your thing or you want a second mounting spot, the built-in M-LOK slot opens up more sling routing options.
