Getting your eye lined up behind a scope or red dot is a lot easier when your face sits at the right height, and that is exactly what this little Magpul riser does. It clips right onto the comb of your MOE or CTR stock and raises the cheek weld by a quarter inch, which is enough to clean up your sight picture without feeling like you strapped a brick to your buttstock. For anyone running an optic mounted a touch high, that small lift makes a real difference in how naturally you get on target.
The quarter inch bump is the entry point in Magpul's riser lineup, with half inch and three-quarter inch versions also available if you need more height. A quarter inch is the sweet spot for a lot of setups where you just need to close a small gap between your face and the sightline. Because your head sits in the same spot shot after shot, your consistency improves, and that repeatable contact is the whole point of a good cheek weld.
This riser was originally developed for M14 carbine stock conversions, and it is meant for non AR15/M4 use since it can interfere with the charging handle unless the stock is fully extended. It clips onto Magpul MOE and CTR stocks, and the same design also plays nice with DT and PR carbine stocks. Molded from the same reinforced polymer Magpul is known for, it holds up to range abuse and field time, and the matte black finish blends right in with your existing furniture.
Installation takes about ten seconds. Snap it over the comb, press it into place, and you are ready to go with no tools required. Made in the USA, it is one of those cheap upgrades that punches well above its weight when it comes to comfort and better sight alignment.
