This is match-oriented ammunition built for precision shooting. PPU paired their Supreme line components—premium brass, quality primers, and selected powders—with Sierra's legendary MatchKing bullet to give you factory-loaded ammunition that doesn't cost what the premium brands charge.
You're getting the Sierra MatchKing, which has a reputation for delivering the kind of consistent accuracy that wins competitions. The 140-grain hollow point boat tail design is engineered to shoot flat, resist wind drift, and group tight when your rifle is capable. PPU backs this up with carefully selected components throughout. Every round comes with a brass case, factory primer, and powder load that plays well with match-grade chambers and demanding applications.
The load sends rounds downrange at 2690 feet per second with a muzzle energy of 2249 foot-pounds. That velocity combined with the boat-tail hollow-point design makes the round stable out to extended ranges. The bullet's thin, precisely drawn jacket and tight weight tolerance mean you get the kind of shot-to-shot consistency that separates match ammunition from general-purpose plinking rounds.
Where this ammunition shines is in applications where repeatable results matter. Competitive shooting, precision rifle training, long-range target work, and similar disciplines benefit from ammunition that performs the same way every time you pull the trigger. Twenty rounds come in each box, and they pack ten boxes per case if you're stocking up for the season.
Yes. PPU Supreme ammunition is designed for match-grade chambers and works reliably in standard 6.5 Creedmoor rifles as well. The brass-cased construction with quality primers provides consistent ignition, and the Sierra MatchKing bullet seats well in standard match-style chambers. Your results depend on your rifle's accuracy, your technique, and how well it's tuned for the load.
MatchKing bullets are engineered specifically for precision target shooting, not hunting. They feature paper-thin, precisely drawn jackets and tight weight tolerances that give you exceptional consistency and ballistic performance at distance. The hollow point boat tail design minimizes drag and helps them fly flat. MatchKing rounds group tighter than general-purpose ammunition because every round performs nearly identically.
The 6.5 Creedmoor with a 140-grain MatchKing bullet is built for long-range work. Practical range depends on your rifle, optics, and skill level, but this cartridge and bullet combination is commonly used in competitive events from 300 yards to 1000 yards and beyond. The boat-tail hollow point design helps it maintain velocity and resist wind deflection at distance.
Yes. PPU brass is known for durability and consistent quality, making it good for reloading if that's something you do. The cases are boxer-primed, so they work with standard reloading equipment. Inspect them as you would any brass before reloading, and you can typically get multiple reloads out of each case.
