Building out a .308 lower is a lot less painful when all the small parts come together in one organized kit, and that is exactly what CMMG put together with the MK3 lower parts kit. Instead of hunting down individual detents and springs, you get the full set of internals needed to complete a stripped lower in a single package. The parts are made to Mil-Spec, and CMMG designed them to work in coordination with each other for smooth, reliable operation once everything is assembled.
This kit is built around a .308 platform, so the pins are sized correctly for the larger receiver rather than borrowed from an AR-15 kit. You get the fire control group with trigger, hammer, disconnector and their springs, plus the trigger and hammer retaining pins. Rounding it out are the bolt catch assembly, magazine catch with spring and button, safety selector with detent and spring, buffer retainer and spring, the .308 takedown and pivot pins with detents and springs, and a molded A2 pistol grip with its screw and lock washer.
