The "Short" in the name refers to the cheekpiece length. When fully collapsed, this version is cut to clear the M110 charging handle, which makes it a smart pick for compact carbines and shorter buffer setups where a longer cheekpiece might get in the way. You still get the full range of adjustment, just packaged to play nice with tighter configurations.
The adjustable cheekweld and buttpad both run on precision dials, so you can fine-tune your fit and repeat it every single time. Gross length-of-pull changes happen fast with a pull-down lever that has a lockout feature, meaning once you set it, it stays put and won't creep on you under recoil.
