Description

The Vickers name has been the benchmark for tactical two-point slings for a long time, and this 2-to-1 version takes that proven design and adds real one-point capability. It runs the patented RED (Rapid Emergency Detachment) Swivel up front near the muzzle and a molded polymer Burnsed Socket woven into the rear. Pull the RED knob loose, reseat it in the Burnsed Socket at the back of the receiver, and you've gone from a stable slung two-point to a fast-handling one-point in about a second. Both modes keep the full quick-adjust pull tab working, so you can cinch tight for a stable shot or loosen up for a shoulder swap on the fly.

How the Vickers 2-to-1 Handles the Switch

The whole point here is not having to pick one sling style and live with it. In two-point mode you get the retention, comfort, and rapid adjustment the Vickers is known for. When you're piling out of a vehicle or working through doorways and tight structure, a one-point lets the rifle hang free and stay out of your way. The RED Swivel is the extra trick: it's a genuine emergency-release swivel, so if you ever need to ditch the rifle in a hurry, you can pop free without needing fine motor skills.

What the Vickers 2-to-1 Is Built From

The webbing is Invista solution-dyed CORDURA, which stays soft in the hand but shrugs off abrasion and holds its color instead of fading out. The adjuster and triglide hardware are molded ITW GhilleTex Acetal, keeping things light and quiet. The RED Swivel itself is machined steel with a phosphate coating for corrosion resistance, stainless internals, and a textured sphero-conical pull knob that's easy to grab with gloves on.

Fit and Setup on the Vickers 2-to-1

This one is the unpadded model, which keeps it lean and low-profile so it won't fight your plate carrier, chest rig, or pack straps. It adjusts from roughly 54 to 64 inches, plenty of range whether you're running slick or loaded down with armor. It's designed for rifles with QD sling swivel sockets front and rear, with the rear socket toward the end of the receiver. Like every Vickers sling, it's sewn in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Vickers 2-to-1 Sling switch between 2-point and 1-point?

You pull the knob on the RED Swivel to release the front of the sling from the muzzle end, then reseat that swivel into the Burnsed Socket at the rear of the sling near the receiver. That drops you into a one-point setup in about a second. Reverse it to go back to two-point, and the quick-adjust pull tab keeps working in both modes.

What rifles will the Vickers 2-to-1 Sling fit?

It's built for firearms that have two QD sling swivel sockets, one up front and one toward the end of the receiver. That covers most AR-15 platforms and plenty of modern carbines out of the box. For rifles that use fixed loops instead of QD sockets, like some SCAR, HK, or SIG platforms, Blue Force Gear sells a Universal Wire Loop with Push Button Socket separately to adapt it.

Is the unpadded version comfortable enough for all-day carry?

For a standard-weight carbine, the unpadded Vickers is comfortable and keeps a low profile so it won't bunch up under a plate carrier or pack straps. If you're humping a heavy build with a suppressor, optic, and light for long distances, the padded version spreads the load better. For most range days and shorter carries, this one does the job just fine.

What is the RED Swivel and why does it matter?

RED stands for Rapid Emergency Detachment. It's a true emergency-release swivel with a textured pull knob that lets you free yourself from the rifle quickly without needing fine motor skills, which is handy if you ever get tangled up or need to ditch the gun fast. The swivel is machined steel with a phosphate finish and stainless internals for corrosion resistance.
