The forward rake is built around how your body naturally holds the gun, giving you positive retention when you're running a C-clamp grip on the handguard while easing tension on the wrist, elbow, and shoulder. It does all this without ballooning the girth of your handguard, so your setup stays slim and fast-handling.
Most angled grips and hand stops rely on a basic screw and backing nut to hold position, which is where you tend to see accessories work loose over time. BCM went a different route with a patent-pending Direct Mount Picatinny anchor system that spreads clamping force across the accessory for a tight, no-wobble lockup with minimal hardware.
