It's a caliber-specific boresight machined from brass that seats directly in the chamber of your .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO rifle, projecting a red laser dot at the theoretical point of impact so you can dial your optic in before ever pulling the trigger. Because it sits in the chamber the same way a live round does, it takes advantage of the rifle's own internal geometry for a consistent, repeatable starting point.
Insert it, close the action, and you'll see a 2-MOA red dot downrange. Set the rifle on a solid rest, hang a target around 25 yards out, and adjust your windage and elevation until the reticle or dot lines up with the laser. That's the whole process. It runs on two AG5 batteries (three AG3 also work) with about an hour of continuous run time, plenty for setting up a rifle or two in a session. There's an on/off cap on the end so you're not draining cells between uses. The brass build holds up to being tossed in a bag and used over and over.

It gets you on paper fast and saves ammo, but a laser and a bullet travel on slightly different paths, so live fire is still how you confirm a true zero and account for bullet drop, wind, and how your specific load shoots. Around 25 yards is the sweet spot for most rifles. It's far enough to show clear alignment but close enough that the red dot stays small and easy to see. Trying to boresight at 100 yards isn't ideal because the laser dot spreads out and gets harder to pinpoint.
