It gives you roughly six inches of 1913 rail that clamps directly to any M-LOK compatible handguard, so accessories built for Picatinny finally have a proper place to live.
The section is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and wears a Type III hardcoat anodized finish in matte black, which is the same corrosion-resistant treatment you'd want on any part riding out in the weather. A built-in alignment stud is the detail that sets it apart from cheaper rails, keeping the section from creeping or twisting under recoil once it's torqued down. The 13-slot section runs approximately 5.91 inches, giving you right around six inches of usable 1913 Picatinny space.
