The FN Reflex was designed around two magazine options: a flush-fit 11-rounder for maximum concealability, and this 15-round extended version for when you want more rounds at the ready. This is the FDE variant, and it pairs cleanly with Flat Dark Earth Reflex models, though it runs fine in any 9mm Reflex regardless of color.
The magazine body is steel with a black coating, and the extended floorplate is a Flat Dark Earth polymer piece that adds real length to the grip. That extra grip surface makes a noticeable difference on a micro-compact, giving your pinky a proper place to land instead of curling under. The fit and feed are exactly what you'd expect from OEM components built on the same manufacturing line as the mags FN already includes in the box.

Yes, this 15-round magazine is compatible with both the standard FN Reflex and the FN Reflex MRD. The MRD variant is simply the optics-ready version of the same pistol, and the magazines are interchangeable between the two.
The 11-round magazine sits flush with the grip for a more compact, easier-to-conceal profile. The 15-round version uses an extended floorplate that adds grip length, giving you four more rounds and a better purchase for your pinky finger. Most Reflex owners keep both on hand and choose based on what they need that day.
The FDE floorplate is made by FN to match their Flat Dark Earth finish used on Reflex pistols, so the color pairing looks intentional and consistent. That said, FDE can vary slightly between manufacturers and product lines, so if you have a non-FN FDE accessory you're trying to match, results may vary.
This is a genuine OEM magazine manufactured by FN America, made to the same specifications and tolerances as the magazines that come in the box with a new FN Reflex. It is not an aftermarket or third-party product.
It adds a small amount of grip length compared to the flush-fit 11-round mag, which can make the pistol print slightly more depending on your holster and clothing. For most carry setups it is a minor difference, and many people find the added grip control well worth the tradeoff. If deep concealment is the priority, the 11-round flush magazine is the better choice.
