This is the factory magazine Canik engineered for the METE MC9, and it's built to the same standards that made Canik pistols popular with competitive shooters. The 15-round capacity gives you plenty of firepower while the full grip extension transforms how the gun feels in your hand on a micro-compact frame. Micro-compact pistols are a compromise by design, and the grip is usually the first place you notice it. This magazine solves that problem.
Canik used a durable steel tube with an anti-friction coating inside to reduce friction and keep rounds feeding smoothly. The high-tensile spring and polymer follower are engineered to perform consistently from the first round through the last. This isn't a budget piece that goes in a range bag and forgotten. These magazines handle daily carry, training sessions, and everything in between without hesitation.
The polymer grip extension base plate extends past the pistol's grip to give you more real estate to hold onto. This matters with a gun this small. You're not adding bulk or sacrificing concealability, but you're gaining the ability to grip the gun more naturally and manage recoil better on follow-up shots. Witness holes numbered on the back let you see exactly how many rounds you're carrying at a glance.
Canik pulled off something the industry doesn't often get right: a micro-compact that uses standard magazine tubes instead of proprietary narrow mags. This 15-rounder fits the METE MC9 and TP9 Elite SC, giving you flexibility in how you configure your platform. Load it flush for a compact carry setup, or use the extension for better handling at the range or during training.
This mag is specifically designed for the METE MC9 and TP9 Elite SC. While Canik magazine tubes are often interchangeable across the lineup, the grip extension base plate on this model is configured for these micro-compact frames, so it's best used with what it was made for.
This magazine comes with the full grip extension base plate installed. If you want a flush profile option, you'd need to source a separate flush base plate, which Canik sells individually or includes with their flush-fit magazine models.
New Canik magazines come with fairly stiff springs, which is actually a sign of quality. The first few magazines you load might feel snug, especially loaded to full capacity. This breaks in with use and some folks appreciate using a magazine loader to make the process easier during the break-in period.
The anti-friction coating reduces friction inside the magazine tube to help rounds feed more smoothly and reliably. Combined with the quality spring and follower, it means fewer feeding issues and consistent performance across different ammunition types.
