The magazine starts with a heat-treated carbon steel tube that's been through the mill and come out stronger. Inside, you get a high-impact polymer follower and high-tensile music wire spring that work together to feed rounds smoothly. The anti-friction coating makes loading easier and protects against corrosion, so your magazine won't degrade sitting in a bag or case. All the internal components are interlinked, which keeps everything moving in sync when things get busy.
The polymer DPS baseplate is the standout feature here. It's designed to absorb impact when you drop the magazine on hard surfaces, whether during a fast reload at the range or in a training scenario. The baseplate also sits a little better than some extended options, and it's been angled to feed into competition magazine boxes more easily if that matters to your shooting.

This magazine is designed specifically for the Sig P226 in 9mm. While some P226 magazines can physically fit in P228 or P229 pistols, they may protrude from the grip and feeding may be inconsistent. For best results and reliability, use magazines designed for your specific model.
